Kent Kauss, Regional Vice President, External Relations
Kent Kauss is regional vice president, external relations of the Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), Sempra's regulated California utilities. Before joining SoCalGas and SDG&E in 2017, Kauss was the senior director and chief lobbyist for Pacific Gas & Electric, where he led the state government relations function, including the development and strategy of legislative policy. He was also a director at the California Public Utilities Commission, responsible for the operations of the Office of Governmental Affairs and served as the liaison to the Governor's Office and state agencies.
